I’m serious I’m deeply serious when I say it’s hitting me that castiel was perhaps the first and only angel who ever felt love not just out in the universe between parents and children and friends and partners but love directed AT him love FOR him after he had carried around that feeling in his own chest for years never knowing where to put it down or how to hide it and just before he killed the man who taught him how to love he FELT that responding warmth and came back to himself staring into the eyes of the man who loved him back
