i feel like once you have a shapeshifting monster who reads minds to become the ultimate sexual fantasy of its victim, and that monster turns into a person of the same gender as your character for them, your character should be considered textually queer
people don’t talk about this enough
1. some claim dean’s siren was male because he’s closest to his brother, but one guy in the episode was closest to his mom and the siren was still a hot girl, not an old lady.
2. the siren couldn’t have possibly predicted that dean would take out his flask, drink from it, offer it to him, and drink from it again. he must have planned to at least kiss dean for the saliva poison to work, and if he didn’t think he could’ve kissed him, he wouldn’t have been a male.
3. sam still thought sirens infected their victims through sex when he realized dean was under the spell, and he didn’t react at all to the obvious presumption that dean and nick had sex.
